Geoeconomical and financial instruments and effects of global confrontation
The essence, tools and effects of international sanctions imposed as a result of Russian aggression, annexation of the Crimea, intention to separate Ukraine and take control of its eastern and southern parts with the creation of puppet state have been studied. The specificity of modem sanctions and their implementation scenarios for the global economy and international finance has been revealed, that facilitates the adjustment of foreign economic and political strategy in the face of the deteriorating geopolitical tensions and increasing instability of world markets, as well as a better assessment of risks in a rapidly changing geopolitical and economic conditions. The author has identified problems faced by Ukraine in light of the movement toward full membership in the EU.
