Investigated are the main approaches to determining the economic substance of intellectual capital and intellectual assets, based on the results proposes and justify its own concept the content and structure of this phenomenon, which is important in solution of accounting problems, analysis, control of non -standard economic values, which are crucial for fostering innovation activity, increase competitiveness and market value.
