Methodology of analysis of scientific schools in the economic and financial sciences

Methodological approaches to the analysis of scientific schools in the theory of economic, finance and their history are disclosed. Criteria of selection of such schools and main trends of the components of the chain ""theory-school-flow-direction” in the global and domestic science are analyzed. Author highlights these scientific schools as a concept of categorical apparatus (instrumentation) of science and as a reality of scientific community.
