International harmonization of regulation of the banking sector and financial markets

Factors that have influenced on the formation of the global configuration of the modern system of financial regulation are investigated. Nature of contradictions between members of the regulatory process is studied and the necessity to create supranational regulators in case of the existence of objective constraints in activities of national regulators is explained.
