Public finance sustainability in the context of Еuropean integration processes

The modern approaches to assessment of public finance sustainability and its ensuring are outlined. The list of soundness indicators used in the EU and recommended for implementation in Ukraine is defined. The fiscal gaps in medium and long run are characterized. The practice of founding independent fiscal institutions and the use of specific fiscal rules in the EU states is highlighted. It is considered measures to prevent fiscal risks. Special attention is paid to the issues of budget deficit and public debt, fiscal consolidation and public finance stabilization measures, structural reforms’ implementation in accordance with directions of cooperation with IMF, the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
