Institutional aspects of innovative entrepreneurship and competitiveness of Ukrainian economy


From the standpoint heterodox canons, alternative neoclassical orthodoxy, the status and prospects of research in innovative entrepreneurship and economic development are analyzed. The author reveals the latest attempts to introduce the study of such entrepreneurship into the generally accepted format of microtheory within the neoclassical mainstream which dominates in the current economic and financial science. Theoretical and methodological basics of the study of institutional aspects of innovation, innovative entrepreneurship and competitiveness of Ukraine’s economy are under consideration in the article. The author provides a rationale for structuring of conceptual and categorical apparatus of institutionalism as unity of the general and specific parts of institutional methodological tools. The article deals with specific key categories of institutionalism in the interpretation of innovative entrepreneurship and competitiveness, financial support of innovation activity. The author investigates the essence, form, function and consequences of the main actors of innovative businesses — large and small enterprises, universities and the state. The study shows the influence of institutional factors on the competitiveness of the national economy in the global indices (innovation, business environment, etc.) and identifies the main reasons for negative trends in innovative entrepreneurship in Ukraine.
