Development of the scientific direction of financial and monetary regulation of the Ukrainian economy
For many decades, the Institute for Economics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR paid considerable attention to the scientific direction of financial and monetary regulation of the Ukrainian economy, which still has a significant impact on the development of the national financial system. This scientific direction played an important role during the development of the monetary and banking system of independent Ukraine, the currency reform of 1996 and the formation of the tax system and financial market. Throughout its existence, the NASU Institute for Economics and Forecasting has been one of the leading national research centers in the field of finance and credit, which provides coordination and execution of research topics on issues of finance, monetary circulation, credit, banking and financial markets. Representatives of the scientific school of financial and monetary regulation conduct a wide range of research in areas that are essential for economic reforms in Ukraine. The article highlights the formation, development of the specified direction, as well as the achievements of its representatives.
