Current issues in the implementation of EU financial aid programs in Ukraine


In today's world, the global financial system is prone to rapid and dynamic transformations, which are the growing uncertainty and unpredictability of economic processes, the reduction and distortion of economic cycles, and increased risks of exa­cerbating economic confrontation. The purpose of the article is to highlight and summarize the current trends of attracting resources in the field of international financial cooperation with the European Union. During the study, the following methods are used: synthesis, observation and comparison, synthesis and analysis, statistical surveys, systematic approach and structural analysis. The article analyzes the current tendencies of attraction to Ukraine the European Union resources in the field of international financial cooperation. Within the scope of the study, the authors examine the areas of Ukraine-EU cooperation that will promote implementation of the Ukrainian economy potential, i.e. budget support, macrofinancial assistance, technical assistance etc. The authors investigate some aspects of signing international financial agreements on budget support issues, which reflect the five key objectives of development, namely: impro­ving public finance management, achieving macroeconomic stability and economic growth, combating corruption and fraud, promoting reforms and improving the deli­very of services in various sectors, protection of human rights and democratic values, improving the system of attracting domestic financial resources and reducing the dependence on external assistance. Particular attention is paid to the need of improving Ukraine's cooperation with the EU by continuing reforms in key areas, strengthening public finance management measures, improving the planning, attraction, use, monitoring and control processes of EU assistance to improve the effectiveness of program implementation.
