Tetiana Iefymenko: Crises entail new opportunities (President of the Academy of Financial Management on the development of  state  banks and the effectiveness of public  finance)

Tetiana Iefimenko – former Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine and President of the Academy of Financial Management, where the prospects and directions of development of the financial sector of Ukraine are an object of analysis. While the majority of such decisions today are dictated by dependence on agreements with international financial donors, the Ukrainian financial thought is forming within the Academy. Forbes met Tetiana Iefimenko during an active discussion of the strategy of state-owned banks development in Ukraine. The Academy is such a place where leading bankers of Ukrainian and foreign banks, state-owned banks, representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine and the Ministry of Finance have formed recommendations for the government concerning the future development of state-owned banks. In the interview Tetiana Iefimenko spoke about the role that state banks should play in the economy, and the strategy
of the financial sector development.
