Використання генетичних досліджень у страхуванні життя та здоров’я

У статті розглянуто використання результатів генетичних досліджень у страхуванні життя та здоров’я. За сучасного рівня розвитку генетики, коли на ринку пропонується дедалі більше видів генетичних аналізів, зростає кількість установ, здатних надавати такі послуги, страхові компанії можуть враховувати їх результати при оцінюванні страхового ризику. Це створює як можливості, так і загрози для страхового ринку та країни в цілому. Встановлено, що найсерйознішими проблемами є генетична дискримінація та інформаційна асиметрія на страховому ринку. Проведено огляд історії розвитку генетичних досліджень і зарубіжного досвіду застосування їх результатів у страхуванні життя та здоров’я. Визначено, що поширення такого досвіду зумовлене головним чином реалізацією проекту “Геном людини”, котрий дав змогу точніше прогнозувати ймовірність генетичних захворювань, що, у свою чергу, було взято на озброєння страховими компаніями як андерайтинговий метод.
